FISHING AND CULTURAL TRIP IN BOLIVIA

NEW FISHING AND CULTURE EXPEDITION IN BOLIVIA

One of the most important aspects of our work is to find new areas to promote responsible Eco Tourism. We opened our business Nicks Adventures Bolivia with a pledge to operate in new areas , help with conservation projects and also to help poor indigenous communities.

This expedition took us to the small fishing port situated close to the Carrasco National Park and near to some beautiful rivers and wilderness areas. The aim was fishing, but due to poor weather ( Wind of the South) the plan changed to exploring indigenous communities, meeting local farmers and searching for wildlife.

Exploring a small community cattle farm.

Jaguar track, proof that not all Jaguars kill Cattle.
The trip was a success, with the help of my local guide Paul, we met very receptive locals and indigenous communities whom were very excited at the prospect of potential tourism, this is needed in this areas which recieves very little outside help.

The highlight of the trip was meeting the very receptive locals and  indigenous communties whom really want tourism, sadly i did see evidence and hear stories of the killing of Jaguars in the area, but overall was very positive.

Sadly the skin of a young Jaguar killed in an indigenous community out of fear.

We will be returning in June, to set up camera traps, do some more fishing when the weather improves and also to develop Eco tourism in this region
